Hi, I’m Mariah Sterling Handlon.

My love affair with weddings and hospitality started early. Back in 2012, I dove headfirst into running events, knowing from the very get-go that creating unforgettable experiences was my calling. By the time I was 15, I was fully immersed in the wedding industry, eventually working closely with a prominent venue in Indianapolis for over a decade. 

That passion naturally evolved, and in 2016, I picked up a camera and officially launched my wedding photography business. For years, I loved capturing the fleeting, beautiful moments of a couple’s big day. But as time went on, I realized I wanted to do more than just document the perfect wedding day—I wanted to build the foundation for it.

Discovering Veedersburg

The stars aligned when I stumbled upon an incredible historic building in Veedersburg, Indiana. It was a local treasure that had sadly been left to fall apart, but where others saw a ruin, I saw a canvas.

From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the building's striking architectural features:

• The Gothic-Style Exterior: A breathtaking, timeless facade that commands attention.

• The Stained Glass: Pouring stunning, colorful light into the space.

• The High-Beamed Ceilings & Wraparound Balcony: Elements that add unmatched grandeur and a sense of historic romance.

I’ve always had a passion for restoration—spending years volunteering to build treehouses and renovating homes just for the joy of it. Taking the leap to save this building felt like the ultimate culmination of everything I love. Moving away from the hustle of the big city to Veedersburg was an easy choice; I fell in love with the small-town atmosphere and the wonderful, tight-knit community. Veedersburg is a hidden gem that is experiencing a beautiful renaissance, with an up-and-coming energy and more to see and do every day. I knew I wanted to be a part of that growth.

The Vision: Seamless, Stunning, and All-Inclusive

Our mission during this renovation project is to honor the building’s history. We are meticulously keeping as many aspects of the original design as possible, while seamlessly integrating sleek, modern amenities.

Because of my deep roots in wedding photography, this venue is being designed with the camera in mind. But we aren’t just building a pretty space; we are building a stress-free experience. Our venue will be completely all-inclusive, offering comprehensive services in one place. We believe planning your wedding should be just as joyful as the day itself, and we are eliminating the overwhelm by handling the details for you.

Our goal is simple: to bring life, love, and celebration back into this historic structure, to support the wonderful community of Veedersburg, and to provide the perfect, effortless backdrop for you to begin your forever. We can’t wait to welcome you.
